Summary

The EMOVE RoadRunner is a seated electric scooter from Voro Motors that occupies a genuinely unique niche — it's not quite an e-bike, not quite a moped, but a compact sit-down commuter that appeals to urban riders who want range and comfort without standing. Reddit sentiment is mixed-to-negative overall: while owners enjoy the fun factor and the seated format, recurring complaints about build quality, poor customer service, and components that fail early (throttles, brakes, motors) have made many community members skeptical of Voro Motors as a brand. The scooter fits riders up to roughly 5'9" comfortably, with taller users feeling cramped. It's best suited for flat urban commuting under 10 miles per day, not aggressive or long-distance riding.

Pros

  • Seated riding position is a genuine advantage for commutes over 30 minutes — no fatigue from standing, especially appreciated by daily commuters in cities like NYC
  • Dual-motor variants (Pro) can reach 40–50 mph, making it one of the fastest seated scooters in its price range
  • Removable/swappable battery design allows range extension — dual batteries can push range to 80–100 miles theoretically
  • Compact footprint fits apartment elevators and small storage spaces better than most e-bikes, despite not being foldable
  • Active Facebook community provides upgrade guides and DIY support, which helps offset the limited official service network
  • Base model's 34 mph top speed hits a practical sweet spot for bike-lane urban commuting at roughly half the Pro's price

Cons

  • Build quality issues are well-documented: failed front motors on first rides, snapped brake cables, cracked screens delivered out of the box, and throttle failures requiring full cable re-threading
  • Customer service from Voro Motors is consistently criticized — users report being given the runaround on warranty claims and missing accessories weeks after purchase
  • Seat comfort is poor stock — the foam is thin and the suspension (especially front fork springs) does little to absorb bumps at speed
  • Size limits rider height to roughly 5'9" — taller riders look and feel awkward on it
  • Voro Motors faces an active trademark lawsuit from Roadrunner Scooters LLC over the 'RoadRunner' name, raising concerns about long-term brand continuity and parts support
  • At $1,400–$3,000 depending on variant, strong alternatives exist: the Fiido Q1S offers rear suspension at ~$900, and performance-oriented buyers increasingly point to the Molo 5 as a superior value

Fun to Ride, Frustrating to Own

Owners consistently describe the RoadRunner as genuinely enjoyable in motion — but the post-purchase experience with Voro Motors has left many wishing they'd gone elsewhere. Missing parts, warranty stonewalling, and early component failures are a pattern, not an outlier.

A Trademark Lawsuit Could Complicate Your Purchase

Roadrunner Scooters LLC is actively suing Voro Motors over the 'RoadRunner' name — and Reddit users are flagging this as a real risk. A rebrand or financial hit could affect parts availability, customer support, and resale value for current buyers.

The Only Seated Scooter That Fits in a NYC Apartment Elevator

That's genuinely its killer use case. Urban riders who can't store a full e-bike — and don't want to stand on a commute — have almost no other options at this spec level. The RoadRunner's weird niche is also its strongest selling point.

It looks like a lot of fun but I would kill myself on it. It's way too low to be seen by cars on the road.

Sounds familiar, Voro pulled the same crap with the Cruiser when they heavily advertised its water rating with paid reviewers spraying it with water hoses and saying its perfectly fine to do that and ride in rain storms, they even had those videos prominently featured on the Cruiser sell page. Then you see how it is in reality with no noticeable effort at waterproofing, no silicone, no rubber gaskets, exposed wires.

It is low to the ground but cars seem to respect my presence in the bike lane just as much as they did while on my Emove crusier which to be fair was always a 50/50 chance. I am always liberal on the horn no matter where I ride so people tend to hear me coming if they can't see me.

Receiving only one battery when sponsored reviewers received two, and advertising 100 miles range on two battery is seriously deceitful marketing. Voro is really good at playing the PR game with reviewers and also being very responsive before a sale to part your money from you. Afterwards, you're on your own.

They look like fun. It seems like it's half way between a kick scooter and an e-bike. I'm leaning toward an e-bike for my next purchase but the Roadrunner is an interesting design.

very cool scooter but mine broke after just 1 ride. voro motors is giving me the runaround and ive lost confidence that they are going to stand behind their product. the front motor died and this thing is brand new! also arrive with a cracked screen and they havent offered to replace it.

It's a cool little device. Unfortunately, it sounds like your municipality would consider it a motorcycle because it can exceed speeds greater than 20MPH. I've considered a roadrunner/pro, but the numerous negative reviews regarding warranties and customer service have made me look elsewhere.

I'd love this for myself at the $800-900 price range, I just can't bring myself to spend $1500. I would have serious remorse spending this much even though it is super cool.

Was eyeballing this at the same time as a Vsett 9+. Wound up going with the Vsett but I still might snag one of these after a while, it looks like it's an illegal amount of fun.

I feel like this is still on the prototype stage, and for 1600$ I would wait for ver.2, with the much needed improvements.

It's a dual motor scooter with a swappable 1800 Wh battery and full suspension. Looks pretty fun.

Thanks for that! This vehicle is still on my mind. Even more so with these current fuel prices.

the concept is there, but the seat is uncomfortable, the top speed isn't up to snuff, and the front fork suspension is rock hard. it's like a knockoff Fiido. It has the potential to be much much better, but not in it's current form.

Ive had it for a bit.. a lil noisy, but can be fixed easily with a few adjustments. No issues, except for maybe the tire continuously losing air. Gotta put air in it every week or so... Inconvenient, but idk.. 40mph is easy to get to.. 50mph is scary ... I'm pretty light so I can go around 53-55mph sometimes.

Idk, the RR has two 2000 watt motors powering each wheel and can hit 50mph. How many other e-bikes have dual motors and can hit those speeds? It's also a smaller footprint than an e-bike. ElectricScooterAcademy on YouTube has been doing his Ubereats runs on the RRPro and it looks like a great urban commuter. Has the speed to keep up with traffic and small enough to fit in apartment elevators easily.

I recently got one. It's decent its not super powerfull, 36v system with 350/500 watt single rear motor. Plus the battery is only 12 amp hours which is low if you commuting. It's pretty easy to upgrade and I has decent community (Facebook). If you don't want to do your own upgrades I think the Roadrunner v2 would be a better option and have better hill climbing and speed.

Voro is being sued for roadrunner name. If they lose in court they will have pay out big to roadrunner scooters. I would be worried about support soon for products they will have to rename. That branding costs tons of money to advertise.

If they add big cushy springs to the seat I'm sold, otherwise reports are that it is quite uncomfortably bumpy. The big wheels are the biggest feature for me, nothing beats wheel size upgrades.

If you insist on getting something so low to the ground that's all black and goes 50mph, at least get that long antenna with the flag thing. Will be easier to find your RR when you get yeeted by a F-350.

Seated e scooter for speed and range, the Roadrunner is it right now if you have the 14 hundred to spend. Fiido is probably the second or third best at 9 hundred.

I like the Roadrunner because it can allegedly get 40-50 miles on a battery and the battery is easily swappable to double that. I'm looking for scooters with similar or even better stats than the Roadrunner.

The RoadRunner Pro is by far better than the base model roadrunner. Suspension, range, acceleration, speed, info display, lighting, easier wheel and tire changes, etc.

They recently released a Roadrunner V2, which does not go as fast as the pro, but most of the stylings are similar to the pro, including the upgraded seat. It's half the price at $1400.

I just got the Pro.. it's scary fast to a point where I wouldn't want to ride it above 45. Just feels scary. If I had to choose again, perhaps I would go with the 34mph one at half price and half'ish weight. Pretty challenging to fit in my Prius, but I did, lol.

I'm also deciding between the Rev1 and RR Pro. It looks like the Rev1 dual suspension is a more comfortable ride overall with a slightly higher build quality. However, it will only go up to 35ish mph given it has a 750w motor. The RR pro offers much more speed though, and it also has a full suspension.

Looks way safer and more maneuverable and comfortable than a scooter. I don't want to deal with chains and derailers either, so that's another plus for me. I want something that can fold up to go in a box, and be elevator friendly. Seems like a great balance this bike.

The molo 5 is easily better then this, Theirs tons of reviews on that scooter, a 250-270lb guy did 55mph on his and another guy that only weigh like 80kg did 63mph.

Didn't age well. Frames that break, few parts in stock, and everything has to be upgraded to be safe and enjoyable.

I'm going to assume you have watched every RR Pro video there is. I understand seeking advice, but if you are doing your due diligence, who are you gonna trust?? Yourself or Redditors?? If you want the RR Pro, then get it. Also, since you're asking, yes it is everything you see in the videos. Those videos got me too. You can be riding around Los Angeles just like Yogi Steve. Check out the Emove Roadrunner page on Facebook.

Voromotors is an outfit which is being mega hyped and enabled by a fan community that puts up with terrible workmanship. After watching many YouTube videos describing Voromotors products as the most fun my desire to own one was greater than my desire to investigate the red flags, so I learned the hard way after buying my very first seated scooter the Roadrunner V3.

For what its worth - I've had the opposite experience with my roadrunner v3 and with voromotors customer support. A sales rep called me later on and I explained why I called. He gave me a discount code that beat anything I could find online. So, I bought it - received it and it was missing the pegs.

EXTREMELY POOR-QUALITY PRODUCT, CUSTOMER SUPPORT, and COMPANY OVERALL. DO NOT BUY!!! I purchased the EMOVE Touring from VORO MOTORS in September 2024. The reason for this purchase was the product's advertised durability, longevity, and distance on a single charge. I would use this product 5-6 times a week to commute to work and back.

Looks like a lot of fun, but don't personally see the point/practicality of this. To me, the whole point of an escooter is that it's tiny and (relatively) light. This is neither of those things. I'd much rather have a micro folding ebike.
