Summary

The IQUNIX EZ63 is a Hall-effect gaming keyboard that's earned genuine respect in the enthusiast community as a credible Wooting alternative. Reviewers consistently praise its aluminum build quality, satisfying sound profile, and competitive HE feature set including rapid trigger, SOCD, and 8000Hz polling — all at a price point that undercuts Wooting in many markets. The main sticking point holding it back is the software, which lacks macros, multi-profile support, and analog stick emulation. For gamers who prioritize feel, acoustics, and hardware performance over software depth, the EZ63 delivers a premium package.

Pros

  • Aluminum case construction with an e-sport gasket mount gives it a solid, planted feel with virtually no wobble or desk slippage — a common complaint on lighter 60% boards
  • Sound profile is widely described as significantly ahead of the stock Wooting 80HE, with a thocky character that reviewers say isn't even a close contest between the two
  • Full HE feature set: 0.05mm rapid trigger sensitivity, 0.125ms latency, 8000Hz polling rate, SOCD/snap tap, adjustable actuation — all supported via browser-based beta software
  • Premium unboxing experience includes a carrying case, coiled cable, keycap/switch puller, cleaning brush, and 5 spare Jade Pro switches, reducing the need for additional purchases
  • Magnetic Jade Pro switches offer a satisfying bottom-out feel and sound, with the Star Trail option providing adjustable actuation points for users who want more customization
  • Competitively priced vs Wooting in markets like India, where aluminum build boards with equivalent HE performance cost significantly more from Western brands

Cons

  • No macro support and no multiple profile switching — a hard dealbreaker for users who switch between work and gaming PCs or rely on complex keybinds
  • No wireless connectivity at all — strictly wired USB-C only, putting it behind competitors like Keychron's HE lineup for users who need 2.4GHz or Bluetooth
  • Software is still in beta and partially in Chinese, with some translations described as strange; the stable release lags well behind Wooting's polished configurator
  • No analog stick emulation unlike Wooting, which limits its appeal for games where that feature sees heavy use
  • Magnetic Jade Pro switches are fixed at 3.5mm actuation with no adjustability — only the Star Trail switches support variable actuation point, which confuses buyers
  • Tilt angle is higher than some users prefer and cannot be adjusted, which has been a dealbreaker for ergonomics-conscious buyers

The Software Is the Only Thing Holding It Back

Across multiple reviews, the hardware verdict is clear: the EZ63 competes with or beats Wooting on build and acoustics. But no macros, no profiles, and a partially-Chinese beta configurator keep it from being an easy recommendation for everyone.

Better Sound, Lower Price — But Wooting Still Wins on Features

The EZ63 consistently undercuts Wooting on price in markets like India and delivers a noticeably better out-of-box sound. The tradeoff is a software ecosystem that's still catching up, missing analog input emulation and multi-device profiles.

Wired-Only in a Wireless World

The EZ63 has no 2.4GHz or Bluetooth option — a real gap when competitors like Keychron offer wireless HE boards. For desk-bound setups this isn't an issue, but for users who want flexibility, it narrows the appeal considerably.

The case design and materials are top-notch, and its sound profile is so far ahead of the stock Wooting 80HE (which costs roughly the same) that it's not even a contest. The typing feel is stiff, but the gasket mount does provide some flex.

I got the zonex75 from them and had a similarly great experience. The shipping was prompt, their keyboard and components were all great quality and overall just a very happy camper. I ordered switches (moonstone) for my wife's keyboard from them too because she liked how they sounded and they were pretty decently priced.

I'd say if the keyboard is 1000hz and has low latency, it's likely good enough for osu!. Even better if it's HE and supports rapid trigger.

I recommend getting the NuPhy Halo65 HE with magnetic jade pro switches. I have been using it for the last 6 months and love it. It is much cheaper than the Wooting 60he and has way better build quality. The magnetic jade pro switches also sound very nice and feel very satisfying to bottom out.

Still my main keyboard right now. I used a few others since writing this review but still default back to my EZ63. No issues at all as of right now!

I may pull the trigger and get the EZ63 because I really like the magnetic jade pro switches and would like to use this as my primary driver for work.

I hate to be so late but, do generic cherry profile keycaps work with it or do you have to get a specific kind. Im still sort of new when it comes to swapping out custom parts.

I ordered my EZ63 I will get it in a week I went with it because of the build it is Aluminum I wanted a good case and it comes with a coiled cable and a carrying case so I don't have to spend extra on that and it has everything I need Rapid Trigger and snaptap the only downside is there software I mean its not bad but it need many thing and its beats wooting in performance (Not in software) and wooting is so expensive to get in India and it comes with a plastic case so I went with this.

my question is how does it feel typing on it or play games on it since I heard it got a wobble because of its case, is the latency that fast that you feel any difference.

How is this keeb in comparison to rs7 pro? I mean the build quality looks really top notch. But still not many reviews of both (ez63 and rs7 pro)

also latency difference hai ofc going from gk61 to a rapid trigger keeb was like going from 60hz to 240 it's very snappy but i highly doubt you'd feel any difference if you got to use the ez63 or g75

I love all the features and reviews I have seen but I am a little concerned about the lack of a couple features unless the software has changed. Does the EZ63 have the 'Mod-tap' functionality? If not, is this something I can expect in the near future?

I am very happy with my copy, the only issue I have with it is that the spacebar double clicks when trying to play/pause media, any fix?

I bought the Gateron Magnetic Jade Pro Switches upgrade and honestly, I have to say I do love the sound and the reaction speed but I heard the starlight switches are good and cost-efficient but the Gateron switches sound the same just a bit quieter in my opinion.

I've seen reviews of the wooting 80HE and they say that the build quality ain't that good even with the aluminium version, performance wise it's safe to say it's the same as the 60HE, if you want a bigger keyboard with function keys you should def buy the 80HE

My top 3 are easily the Iqunix Magi65 Pro (for its typing feel, macro pad, and almost perfect layout), NuPhy Kick75 (it like a toy in the best possible way. Very fun look and feels and sounds nice to type on), and the Iqunix EZ63 (the adjustable actuation force and it's just the best HE board I've tried in terms of feel and sound).

From the reviews I've seen it's basically the same as wooting performance wise but with better sound and a bit worse software

Wooting's official discord some of Wooting staffs said Iqunix HE keeb performs on par with only a very small margin of difference against their upcoming 80HE after they tested it at Computex.

Will this support QMK or ZMK? Also, it will be great to have an split spacebar version.

I've been testing these things and in the last year magnetic keebs have made a real step forward. If you had read it all, you would have known I criticized this keeb in areas where it didnt deliver. Not all good gaming keyboard has to be branded Wooting, you know.

I really wanted to buy this keyboard since it's cheap than the wooting and with a better case/Sound. But the tilt angle is just too high for me

Try to set the settings on keycaps sensitivity to lower and I highly recommend you put spacebar to the lowest.
