G-Hub Is Still the Elephant in the Room
Users love the hardware but G-Hub continues to draw criticism across threads — no support for layered RGB effects, unreliable profiles, and general bugginess undercuts what is otherwise a capable keyboard.

The Logitech G715 Aurora is a TKL wireless mechanical keyboard that targets aesthetics-first gamers, particularly those drawn to the pastel Aurora colorway and soft RGB lighting. Reddit sentiment is genuinely mixed — owners often fall in love with the look and feel, while the broader mechanical keyboard community consistently pushes back on the value proposition when better-specced competitors exist at the same price. The keyboard supports standard MX-style keycaps, giving it decent customization appeal, but the non-hotswappable switches and aging battery life compared to newer Logitech models make it a harder sell as time goes on. G-Hub software complaints are a recurring theme, with users flagging it as one of the worst peripheral apps in the space.

When the G715 launched, it filled a unique niche. Now the G Pro X TKL offers a longer battery, newer components, and a carrying case at the same price — making the G715 harder to recommend on specs alone.
While marketed as a gaming keyboard, several Reddit users specifically praise the G715 for long writing sessions, citing the full-height keycap profile as more comfortable over hours than the flat G915 switches.
Try setting actuation point of everything except wasd to something around 2.0mm.
View Original CommentCan't do it. Impossible. Because G-Hub is a dogshit app that only allows you to use one global effect at a time, no layering or combining like for e.g. Razer which has had this ability for years. It's a shame really, because their keyboards are actually pretty great.
View Original CommentWell if logitech says their keyboard isn't hotswappable it is bc it isn't. The switches are soldered into the pcb. If you want to add your own switches desolder old switches from pcb and solder new switches. Or get a hotswap pcb.
View Original CommentI have been using the G915 TKL for several months and just got the G715 on sale. I like the G715 better, due to the full height keys instead of the G915's flat ones which I never could get quite used to and caused me trouble when typing for longer periods of time. Functionality of both keyboards is pretty much the same, so it depends which kind of keys you prefer.
View Original CommentUnless you particularly like the Logitech brand there is simply better option for the same price (on top of lasting longer, it's really not a sturdy keyboard IMO).
View Original CommentBoth boards are very similar. I believe the switches and keycap material is the same. The general layout and key height/travel are also the same. Connectivity is the same. Price is the same. The only differences I could find are: Aesthetic design differs. Lighting on the G715 is fancier. Battery on the G Pro X TKL is rated to 50 hours. G715 is rated to 30 hours. G Pro X TKL is a newer release.
View Original CommentI just switched from a Razer Huntsman Mini to a G715 and I can say that I'm in love with it.
View Original CommentI agree logitech needa improve their rgb software.
View Original CommentFrom looking at the specs on the website, it looks like it uses an ANSI layout (standard US keyboard) as a base while the Hungarian keyboard uses an ISO layout if I recall correctly. The difference is the shape of the Enter key and the number of keys (87 for ANSI vs 88 for ISO). If being able to use your usual layout for typing is important, then you can find other keyboards models that do offer at least an ISO layout if not Hungarian.
View Original CommentASMR! I could watch this all day long 😂
View Original CommentToo bad it doesn't have the clearly necessary numpad.
View Original CommentI was able to connect the keyboard but it seems that there are a few connection issues. It did go in and out sometimes with some latency and with that connected I wasn't able to use certain mouses as well. PS5 so far seems corded works best.
View Original CommentI have the G715, and I really really like it. It has a great aesthetic, and the color palette is very vibrant....it's something that you have to see in person to fully appreciate. However, my favorite part of it is the shape, texture, and feel of the keys — it matches up to my hands perfectly.
View Original CommentOn the G715 it has one onboard profile. The Fn key switches between regular F1-12 buttons to whatever you set in LgHub (macros or the likes). However, they forgot to add some kind of indicator of when the Fn key is toggled on or off, which is just such a derp moment tbh.
View Original CommentDon't downgrade. If you want something nice then look into keychron, monsgeek, qwertykeys.com, aula f75/99, leobog hi75/98.
View Original CommentI've been using the g715 since release with the clicks keys. So far its been good, the keyboard itself feels nice if you like the more mechanical feel, but not 200$ worth if your into your own customization. Keys can be replaced and the cover can come off to paint your own if you wanted. The key switches are not hotswap so you buy the switches you like.
View Original CommentFor the price I'd rather just get something with optical switches like the Apex pro or K70 (opx). But this sure does look really nice!
View Original CommentWhen the F**k are they going to make this keyboard in black!? The G915 TKL version is outdated and I did not like. I like this keyboard I just don't want it in white, green or pink.
View Original CommentI wish they made it available in more colours. I honestly went Nuphy Air 75 over this because I just don't like the overall pastel tone of its colours (that and I prefer low profile over full height cap).
View Original CommentAlso went with the G Pro X TKL! Super similar, but I liked the lighting, battery, and the case it came with (not sure how much I will travel with it, but pretty nifty).
View Original CommentHuh, never seen an actual video of it in person, looks really nice actually.
View Original CommentOriginally I bought the clicky keys and there was some pressure to hit keys so there weren't some accidental clicks, but I ended up swapping the switches out and soldering new ones in. If you're thinking about getting one, make sure it uses a linear switch as I think they are the best of the three options they gave.
View Original CommentI don't like the wrist rest and the full size keycaps, it seems different from g915.
View Original CommentClicky! I love it, I have the headset and the mouse too!
View Original CommentWhich switches? This series is super pretty btw I have the G735 headset.
View Original CommentIm looking at the g715 on amazon and considering getting a "used-like new" one thats available for half price. Always sceptical buying used over the internet without being able to see it though.
View Original CommentThe mx mechanical shuts off the lights after some time... such a bummer this looks better.
